The pilot project Slum Cinema was launched in January 2007 in Nairobi. During the World Social Forum (WSF) several documentaries about globalization were shown in special built Slum Cinema to the visitors of the forum. In cooperation with the NGO Econews in Nairobi some of the documentaries were also shown in the slums of Nairob. The screenings, on the WSF and in the ...slums, reached large audiences. At the moment we are working on five new Slum Cinema projects, in Africa and South America.
